Norton Rose Fulbright is adding an insurance management team and practice in New York and Los Angeles

New York, Aug. 10, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announced the arrival of a four-person insurance industry management team, composed of partner Robert Romano, counsel Jonathan Bank and insurance experts Al Bottalico and Stewart. Romano has extensive experience in insurance management and corporate affairs. He has assisted many clients in M&A, corporate finance and restructuring transactions, with a special focus on new and unique market entry strategies for domestic and foreign insurers. Romano spent two years in the London office of a law firm supporting the Corporation of Lloyd’s and clients in the Lloyd’s and corporate markets. He often attends meetings of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and has recently contributed to the drafting of legislation on reinsurance reform, Insurance Business Transfers and Corporate Divisions. Romano is the third US partner to join the corporate, M&A and securities practice last month, following Rajiv Khanna and Eric Rauch.

The banking practice focuses on insurance / reinsurance, insurance company restructuring and regulation (loan reinsurance / collateral) for both domestic and foreign / foreign and captive insurance markets. He spent three years employed by UK market participants, including one of the largest accountancy firms, working on the decommissioning of many UK insurers. He is involved in the core business, which includes the Corporate Division and Insurance Business Transfer.

Keir and Bottalico are non-lawyer insurance professionals and regulators. Both held senior positions in insurance companies in the US.
