NYCM Presents: Celebrating National Nonprofit Day

Pa NYCM Insurance, embracing the community and succeeding as a team are our top priorities every day. We know that when we work together everyone achieves more, and by helping people and organizations where we liveworking, and playing, we can strengthen the foundations of the communities we call home.

It’s not just that we’re very proud providing exceptional care and service to our customers, but we are humbled to provide support to more than 550 events, organizations, and initiatives each year—many of which are provided by employees who are looking to strengthen the charitable organizations they are affiliated with. NYCM supports a variety of related organizations health and wellnesseducation, youth sports, fine arts, community eventsand others that align with the company’s values ​​and help make our communities unique.

In March 2022, the NYCM Foundation donated $10,000.00 to the Edmeston Rotary Club in support of Ukrainian refugees seeking asylum.

Each of the business services they bring workers and the community together around the common cause of representing Team NYCM and raising awareness and money for people in need. Every year, NYCM staff unite and show real concern for several causes that are related to them, and try to give hope for a better tomorrow and courage to endure.

Throughout the year, team members are welcome to donate
staffed fundraiser on the company’s intranet site to help spread the word about the various philanthropic efforts going on and help get them involved. Over the years, NYCM staff have developed long-standing and recurring projects that benefit our communities in important ways.

Some examples includes: maintenance staff Back to School driveslocal food donations, clothing and personal item donations to local governments, and donations to nursing homes and families in need through programs such as Helping Hands and Sherburne Christmas Care Committee.

In June 2022, NYCM Insurance Customer Experience team members Hannah Backus, Kelsea Webster, Joyce Polanowicz, Sarah Newman, Todd Penoyer, Zeke Miller, Doug Stoddard, and Roger Kise spent a day volunteering to clean up at the Utica Zoo.

NYCM employees are also empowered to work 16 hours annual volunteer time, totaling approximately 1,000 hours of volunteer time each year. Through our volunteer opportunities, team members can to participate and spreading information about causes that matter most to them.
