“We encourage spectators to come and enjoy the tournament because the great setup and First Tee youth are unique and fun to watch,” said Steve John, CEO, Monterey Peninsula Foundation. “In addition, Pebble Beach Golf Links is spectacular since the last week in September usually gives us great weather.”

More than 1,000 young players from the First Tee have played in the PURE Insurance Championship, experiencing the opportunity to meet, play, and be mentored by PGA TOUR Champions and non-professionals on the field.

First Tee is a youth development organization that teaches life skills and helps children and youth develop good morals through the use of golf. The PURE Insurance Championship is one of the many international opportunities that First Tee Headquarters provides to encourage and motivate participants as they progress through the program and the opportunity for higher education.
